G.A. Ceaefeller letter to Dr. Henry Milton Whelpley - January 9, 1919

Transcript

Base Hospital, Camp Logan Houston, Texas January 9th, 1919. Dr. [Henry Milton] Whelpley St. Louis, [Missouri] My dear doctor: Upon my return from Illinois a few days ago I was told by Sergeant Beard, of the medical department, assigned at this hospital, that he had seen you and that you still recalled who I was. As I was of the class of ’93, had not the opportunity of seeing you for so long, and that one class was but an incident in your teaching experience, it occurred to me that you were remarkably favored in being able to recall names and faces. Since returning I have received the literature you so kindly sent; and at the first “leisure period” will carefully look them over. I hope to be able to thank you personally in the not far distant future; and will call on you at the first opportunity. Respectfully, G.A. Ceaefeller, Major M.C.Co.
