Camp Mac Arthur [August 18, 1918] To the Editor of Meyer [Brothers] Druggist Dear Sir, Having received the journals you sent me some time ago, I thought I would write telling you what I am doing. I have had for a tent mate for some time [William] A. Van Rhein who is a graduate in pharmacy and who was located at Ridge and Dolph. I also had A. Florain for a tent mate who graduated from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy last year and who is now in the medical department. I was transferred to Development Battalion Co. F. Here they will put us in the kitchen as a kitchen police, wash the dishes, scrub the floors and serve the food. The Wash house must be cleaned every day by us but there is no drilling. Every Sunday I am found in Waco where I visit the different drug stores churches, soldiers club, and go around the city. I was a student at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy last year and would have been a senior this year but I cannot help it because I am in the army now and would like to hear from Class mates.
