Camp [MacArthur] Texas [November] 2nd 1918 Prof. [Henry Milton] Whelpley c/o Meyer [Brothers] Druggist Broadway & Clark St. Louis, [Missouri] Dear Prof. Whelpley, Received your letter of the 23rd ult. and was very glad to hear from you. I am well and getting along fine. About last February I remitted to the [Missouri Pharmacy Association] 2.00 (I think it was 2.00) for membership, through you, probably you remember. Immediately after I graduated last May the [American Pharmacy Association] sent me a receipt for one year’s membership, but I did not pay them anything, I thought

[page 2] the [St. Louis College of Pharmacy] ordered the [American Pharmacy Association] to send me that receipt. Then when I received the prize on the state board examination I was awarded one year’s membership in the [Missouri Pharmacy Association]. Will you please advise me how I stand in this matter. I am very glad to hear that all is running along nicely at the [St. Louis College of Pharmacy] and I assure you that I will always work for the interest of my Alma Mater. Harry Sanders and Louis O. Kloeckner are both here with me at this Infirmary, Sanders being Property Sergeant

[page 3] and Kloeckner being associated with my self in the Dispensary I am very much pleased to hear that you are all working hard for the passage of the Edmond’s Bill and we will hope that it will soon be a law.
