Am a graduate of Atlanta College of Pharmacy, having graduated in 1906 and am registered in seven States, having passed three State Board examinations successfuly. Have always been connected with the Drug buisiness, having been on the road selling Pharmaceuticals 5 Years and in the retail Drug business the rest of the time. Am at present with Hesterly Drug store, Prescott, [Arkansas] and this is my third Year with them. I was inducted into the Service in April 1918 and received my voluentary induction papers two Weeks later into the Medical Dept. and was stationed at Camp Pike, [Arkansas] three Months and was transferred to Infirmary Tent Camp # 2. [Fort] Logan H. Roots, [Arkansas] where I spent 6 Months. I was very fortunate in having a strictly Millitary man and a Gentlemen for a Commanding Officer and he soon appointed me Sgt. 1st Cl. Medical Dept. Capt. Walter J. Nichols, (Nichols Sanitarium) Pittsburgh, [Kansas] was my C.O. I was very fortunate for many Pharmacist never received any promotion and were not in their line of work and we should get together for I knew lots like myself did Commissioned Officers work and were only Non Commissioned Officers and did not get the credit or pay for what they did do. Brother Druggist, lets get together. Respectfully. Alvah C. Williams, c/o Hesterly Drug Store, Prescott, [Arkansas]
