Here for 15 cents a pint and the company sell beer for 15 cent a pint or 2 for 25 cents and can pay for it on payday I got a letter from the boys and they tried to kid me about stoping the mexicons brittles but I should worry about that and say is the factory doing any work yet there or is it the same old thing. Description | Oliver Vie was born January 28, 1887, in St. Louis, Missouri. After working for several years in a shoe factory, he enlisted in the army in October 1913, Company K, 26th Infantry. He served along the Mexican border before going with the first contingent to France in June 1917. He fought in the battles of Cantigny and Soissons and was wounded in action and died July 20, 1918. In this letter to his sister Grace, Vie discussed border issues and the possibility of going to El Paso, Texas. |
