Texas city Texas Dear niece i recieived your letter and was pleased to hear from you and take pleasure in answering your letter. And i hope this finds you all well as it does me at the presant time. Say you ask me about my chums well you see their is only about 75 in a company to bum with you know that is some croud. Well Corinne how is the baby geting big i suppose and so is Chubby i guess Say Corinne i guess if you look that time up agan i think you will find it is longer

Description | Oliver Vie was born January 28, 1887, in St. Louis, Missouri. After working for several years in a shoe factory, he enlisted in the Army in October 1913, Company K, 26th Infantry. He served along the Mexican border before going with the first contingent to France in June 1917. He fought in the battles of Cantigny and Soissons and was wounded in action and died July 20, 1918. In this letter, Vie wrote his niece Corrine in regards to family matters and personal affairs. |
