EUROPEAN PLAN FREE AUTO BUS COMMERCIAL SAMPLE ROOMS CENTRAL LOCATION HOTEL SNEED ALICE COPPING PROP. MODERN CAFÉ EUGENE. OREGON Sept. 6. 1919. Dear Mother – Your letter came last night but as it was rather late I did not take time to answer it till this morning. I was awfully glad to get it and hear that every one was well. Uncle Roy seems to be doing fairly well now and I sure hope he does for he has been hard off against it for a long time. It has been raining here for the last 4 days and we have not done any flying at all. It seems like it was going to clear up today. I hope that it does for it is sure dismal when it rains. I have felt fine since I came up here and I have not had to work very hard. We may leave here within the next 2 weeks. The rain has put out a lot of the fires so we may not be needed any longer.

Haven’t received any money yet and I am sure disgusted. Can’t go any place or do anything. All the fellows are just like myself too. We are sure a sorry bunch. Oh Well! We should worry, we have a place to sleep and 3 squares a day. Well there is no news that I know of so I will close. Yours Virgil.
