Stuver, Clarence Monroe Collection
Clarence Monroe Stuver enlisted in the U.S. Navy at Kansas City, Mo. on October 8, 1917. He was sent to the Naval Training Station in Great Lakes, Ill., where he trained as a fireman. During World War I Stuver served on the U.S.S. Kearsarge and the U.S.S. Santa Luisa. Clarence's brother, Thomas Henry Stuver also served in the Navy as an electrician and radioman. This collection includes postcards and letters written by the Stuver family from Brookfield, Mo.
