Description | Photograph of American Quad and Packard trucks being loaded with material from a quarry for road construction. The trucks are loaded by German labor and taken out to the desired points on the roads. This photograph is related to the service of Charles Stevenson, who enlisted in Kansas City, Missouri and became attached to Company A, 314th Engineers, 89th Division at Camp Funston, Kansas. Stevenson was shipped overseas on June 12, 1918 where he remained for the duration of the war. He arrived back in the United States on May 26, 1919. |
