We have also had instruction on knot tying and semaphore signals. A letter came today from Aunt Kate. The school up there is quarantined because of scarlet fever. I talked to the captain in regard to new shoes. I

Description | Charles Stevenson wrote to Ogee about being quarantined and a future military appointment he hoped to achieve. Stevenson enlisted in Kansas City, Missouri and became attached to Company A, 314th Engineers at Camp Funston, Kansas. Stevenson was shipped overseas on June 12, 1918 where he remained for the duration of the war. He arrived back in the United States on May 26, 1919. |
