[St. Louis Car Company letterhead] St. Louis, U.S.A., [November] 20, 1915. Mr. Tom W. Benoist, St. Louis, [Missouri] Dear Sir:- Supplementing our letter of [September] 23, 1915 regarding royalty due you on Hydroaeroplanes to be built and sold under contract through Edwin L. Reed & Company, of Chicago, [Illinois], would say that our understanding is that this same contract as to royalty is in effect with the contract that we are negotiating with Marden, Orth, Hastings Company, of New York. Also referring to a contract that you are attempting to get through George B. Morriss and A. Patterson, of Chicago for a quantity of Benoist Hydroaeroplanes, would say that your quotation of $6100.00 for these machines, as per specifications submitted by us to Marden, Orth, Hastings Company, is correct, as we agree to furnish these machines on this order if secured at the same price and terms as per our quotation to Marden, Orth, Hasting Company. This letter written in duplicate when signed by this Company, and accepted by you will constitute a contract between us. Yours very truly, ST. LOUIS CAR COMPANY, ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT. Accepted Tom W. Benoist Presented for signature by Mr Benoist, be not signed. E.B.M.
