Missouri Over There

Letter to Roby W. Slusher from Ernest W. Slusher - February 2, 1919

Transcript

Commercy, France Feb. 2nd 1919, Dear Son, we are going to start home in a very few days but the trip may consume several weeks and it will very likely be May 1st before we are mustered out. From now on I expect to be quite busy and my letters may be irregular. We are to see some new parts of France and our trip to the port of embarkation should be interesting. Tell Dr. Prentiss I think I should like to have the old office back, unless he has a better proposition to suggest. There is a [illegible] ability that I may be mustered out ahead of the division as I am now with Div Hdq performing some sanitary work that will not be necessary when we leave France, and may come home sooner than they do, but I will let you know if this should be the case as soon as I find out about it. Am working some wires now, Love to all Dad.
