Glen H. Broyes, M.D. 1232 Professional Building 11th & Grand Avenue Kansas City, MO. Jan. 23, 1934 Veterans Bureau Washington D.C. I certify that while serving with the medical detachment 140th dept. 35th Div under [illegible] of Maj. E.W. Slasher M.D. I knew of his passing kidney stones, having attacks of asthma and being gassed during our [illegible] in the Argonne [illegible]. A few days following our [illegible-four words] Maj Slusher was relieved from duty with the [illegible] on account of physical disability and ordered to Base Hospital for treatment. I know the above facts to be true because I was with him all the time while he was with the regiment and needed him in command of the medical detachment.
