Nov 21 – 17 Dear Ma - : Rec’d Two Welcome letters I am just fine my feet are a little sore from haveing Wet feet so much. I have changed shoes bathed and have clean socks and I feel better now I read the papers you sent. I see Roy Pigg likes it. I just returned from the front so Stanley is in traning Well thats fine. I am sending a picture of a French and Our Band 4 or 5 of our men are not in

the picture I have a Moustache nearly every One that can grow one has done so it is French Custom. Well I was scared the first shell I heard also I dident get very used to them even if they dont come within 200 yds of you it seemes as if you cant be missed. some came a good deal closer one evening there is just one thing if you are going to get it and if not you wont of course you must be carefull as possible gald you enjoyed your trip out to the “Rug Farm” I dident get the socks Pearl sent me but expect them most any time so papa must have quit the “plant.” I see where Joe Timmons is president of a gass co. I wish you wold estimate how many lessons Somers has had and how much does she charge the other pupils I will then begin to pay the amt what ever it amts to I am sending Kimballs the ballance I owe them to-day. the weather is not so very cold but is damp and it penetrates
