Douglas Arizona 5/25/17 Dear Ma - : Dont answer my last letter untill I Write to you again We got orders to pack up and be ready to leave in 5 days I dont know where to nobody does there is a rumor we will go to Syracuse N.Y. then over the water : we are having a pretty Windy day are going to play a concert at the hospital I will be attached to the hospital corps if we go to France. will shure have some hard work 2 divisions of hospital corps left San Francisco for England

I am enclosing a photo taken on the way to play the other night lots of recruits are still coming in some have no uniforms they are issued here I hope you are all well I am just fine feel that way all time Climate agrees With me I must close and practise my clarinet a little there is no One to Object to it here. Make Somers practise lots. With Love Walter The fellows are all hoping We get to go across the pond.
