Amex Force Paris France July 5 1917 Dear Ma - : I Rec’d your letter yesterday. I am just fine am very well. I got awful sick on board ship lost about 20 pounds I guess. You inquired about my violin I have it along but of course We dont use orch now and it has never ben unpacked I shall leave it where it is. do not play any only when I play in band. we got up and played at 5 o clock 4th of July morning. also played a concert in the evening I Wish you would find

I cannot get track of it so will be willing to pay in full for this instrument it was just the same as stolen from me I can get the money for it as soon as I can get in communication With my friend who is in china. I would like to tell you about our trip across but cant. the only thing I can say about the country is that it is very picturesque. The days are pretty Warm Nights Chilly dosent get dark untill 11 oclock

I will send Kimbal Piano Co. some money if we ever get payed havent had any pay for 2 mo. I am not putting any stamp’s on this letter havent any.
