| Description | Photograph of Adolph J. Schliesser in his military uniform in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was the first pastor of the Lutheran Church in Missouri to be appointed into the Army as a Chaplain. Schliesser served as a Chaplain for German prisoners of war during World War I, and saw military service on the Mexican Border. |
