Rumbold, FARC, Office, Chief of Staff, Room 351, State, War, and Navy Building, Washington, D.C. Under the provisions of the act of Congress approved July 9, 1918, as amended by the act of Congress approved April 7, 1922, the distinguished-service medal was awarded to you by the War Department on December 15, 1922. The necessary steps have been taken to cause the medal to be presented, and you will be later informed of the date and place of presentation. By order of the Secretary of War: William A. Woodlief Adjutant General.
