WAR DEPARTMENT, WASHINGTON, AUGUST 8, 1917. SPECIAL ORDERS, No. 183.} Extract. 78. By direction of the President, Col. Frank M. Rumbold, 1st Field Artillery, Missouri National Guard, is relieved from duty in the office of the Chief of the Militia Bureau, to take effect August 9, 1917, and will then proceed to join his regiment. Description Special orders issued by Major General Tasker H. Bliss, stating that Colonel Frank M. Rumbold was relieved from his duty at the Militia Bureau and assigned to join the 1st Missouri Field Artillery. Frank Meeker Rumbold served as Colonel of the 128th Field Artillery during World War I. He later served as Adjutant General of Missouri from 1925 to 1927.
