January 31, 1919 SPECIAL ORDERS NO. 31 (Extract) The following named officers, having reported at these headquarters this date, from abroad, will, under War Department instructions hereinafter noted, proceed to the stations named, reporting upon arrival to the Commanding Officer, for duty: W.D. Instructions dated [December] 3, 1918 Station Camp Meade, [Maryland] Colonel Frank M. Rumbold, F.A. Class 1. The travel directed is necessary in the military service. | Description | Special orders from Colonel, General Staff, L.W. Oliver, stating that Frank M. Rumbold arrived at Hoboken, New Jersey and was to be sent to Camp Meade in Maryland. Frank Meeker Rumbold served as Colonel of the 128th Field Artillery during World War I. He later served as Adjutant General of Missouri from 1925 to 1927. |
