[Knights of Columbus letterhead] many times you with us. Yes Col GA Taylor is in command He is a former N.G. man and regular Army Captain at out break of war. Understand he has been Battery Commander Brigade and Div Adj. Pretty good fellow but we cannot get away from those who brought us out and took us through the worst of it and believe me we are still loyal to Rumbold and Warner. As to promotions Sandford is a major. Goodyear, Gheen and [ms illegible: 1 wd] Captain, all second Lts now firsts excepting Harrison, Billings and Stubbs. The later has been acquitted of his trouble

Wells has been attached to my Company Received a card from Mrs Rumbold Xmas day. I have written her.
