Near Verdun France [November] 1918 My dear Col: - At last I came back with the Regiment but I am only an attached Officer as Sanford was made a Major while I was away and I guess I will eventually land at Brigade Hdq. We have a new Col in command his name is Taylor and he seems to be a good man and on

I am just about all right once more except for my lungs and they dont seem to clear up as fast as I would like them to but I was aughfuly tired of the Hospital so got them to let me go. There is so little news that I can write

Frank Meeker Rumbold served as Colonel of the 128th Field Artillery during World War I. He later served as Adjutant General of Missouri from 1925 to 1927. |
