Description Distinguished Service Medal citation for Frank M. Rumbold. Rumbold was cited for his genius and ability of organizing, training, and expanding the National Guard before troops were sent overseas. He was also cited for the organizing, training, and disciplining of the 128th Field Artillery throughout the war. Rumbold continuously worked to secure close cooperation between the National Guard and the Regular Army throughout his military career. Frank Meeker Rumbold served as Colonel of the 128th Field Artillery during World War I. He later served as Adjutant General of Missouri from 1925 to 1927.
