Rumbold, 3rd Infantry, Missouri National Guard, was detailed for duty in the Bureau, under the provisions of Section 81, of an Act of Congress, approved June 3, 1916. Description Letter from the Chief of the Militia Bureau to the Adjutant General of the Army stating that Frank M. Rumbold was commissioned to Colonel of the 1st Missouri Field Artillery. Frank Meeker Rumbold served as Colonel of the 128th Field Artillery during World War I. He later served as Adjutant General of Missouri from 1925 to 1927.
