[American Y.M.C.A. letterhead] March 29th 1919 La Roschelle Friend George, How is everything in St. Nazaire. We got back to LaRoschelle Thursday morning at 415 a.m. and we slept all day Thomspon isnt over the trip yet. We ended up at the circus Wednesday night at St. Nazaire and had one hell of a time and believe me we sure were feeling good when we got on the train we had these pictures taken at the circus. Well George we leave here Wednesday for Bordeaux to meet the rest of the regiment

[American Y.M.C.A. letterhead] that is there now waiting for us I sure wish that you were going home together so we could celebrate together when we get back home well George I sure will shoot the shit when I get back and I also will give your daddy that picture as soon as I get home. Well I will close for this time will write you again Hoping that you leave this god forsaken country. Your Friend Richey Good Luck
