St. Louis [Missouri], [March] 28, 1919 Dear brother: Received your card dated 8th of [March] and also received a letter last week which we did not answer, so I thought I would write a few line while the babys are sleeping. We are glad to hear you are well and enjoying your self as we are well except Norman and Marie. Norman had an awful bad cough and cold the beginning of the week, so we took him to the doctor. He is feeling a good bit better and is starting to play again The Flu is pretty bad again and the way Norman acted we were afraid he would get it, but the doctor said it was only a bad cold. Thank goodness. Marie has a little cough, I guess she got it from Norman, he is alway kissing around on her. We got the go-cart out of the cellar to-day and put marie in, she likes it very much. Norman pushes her around and sing, go to sleep my little boy. We were out home last [Sunday]. [George] was diging around

in the ground for worms and then would put then on a little shovel and Norman gave them to the rooster and said, Good night worm. Papa had nine little ducks and five of them died. I guess it is to cold for them. George I guess you think I am a great one for not writing and telling you how much I like my cushion top. I think it is very pretty and every body that see it thinks the same. It is prettier than any I have seen that were sent from France. The girls apron and mamma scarf is very pretty. Mamma is going to wear it this summer. It is often cool in the evening and then she can throw it over her shoulder. She is going to wear it when she comes to my house. Mamma said you know all right what old women need. Thats all I have to write this time so I guess I will close with good luck to you hoping you sail the seas soon. Norman and [George] said Hello. Marie is getting big and sits up a little Well good night till later - sister Marie -
