[Century Electric Company letterhead][April 3, 1919] 1130 P.M. Dear George: After Lunch I have one hour time & not so busy to night so I can send you some now. We received 1 Letter & 2 Postcard Monday. Last Sunday I had the hole bunch working in the Garden, we fixed up the Lawn & patch next Sunday and making connect post for the other grape patch. George & family came out on early Saturday. G. went in the evening to the game again and came home 5 a.m. then you no how good he was for helping. He is [ms illegible: 1 wd], first he have no work and then the people in that gamble place [ms illegible: 3 wds] him. Now he is going to work for Schroeder [ms illegible: 1 wd] on the Fre wagon

Just what he like plenty running. This is no place for him, but he like it. Hammer Heights is shure the same, everybody working on Sunday. No [ms illegible: 1 wd] for 3 Sunday. Last Sunday evening George & I went to [ms illegible: 1 wd] Wine Garden I had one bottle, but what kind of Stuff. I am still on right up to May 1. Have only a small bunch of [ms illegible: 1 wd] very easy. I am working for answer about you release, like for see you home next month. I [ms illegible: 2wds] today [ms illegible: 1 wd] I might you, nothing new and every body well in the family. Glen is still mupping & Katie work in the garden. The saving time is on again, one down earlier and the bed. How are the grapes in French now, soon the blooms. Hope to here from you soon keep well and be happy Your father [ms illegible: 1 wd]
