same habit of falling to sleep early and then I sit all alone! But you said in your last letter that I received written the 1st of March, that you are not used to late hours. Well when you get back you will have so much to tell us and will have some news for you that it will be all hours before you get to bed. And the getting up part, well mamma says when you get home, she will let you sleep as long as you want. I seems as though in every letter I write I have some thing to tell about the duke. He had a slight cold the other day so Marie and [ms illegible: 1 wd] thought it best to take him to the doctor, and when they got there the doctor said Hello Norman how are you and Norman, I am so sick. Marie said everybody in the office just laughed. Then the doctor said that Norman was the smartest boy he new for his age. george you ought to hear him talk. Just as plain as you or I. Little Harold Doesty is five years old and doesnt talk as plain as Norman. Sunday papa gave him the little hand shovel and turned him lose. He went to dig some worms and when ever he would get on the rooster would grab it. and he came in saying, Norman cant get no worms in his bucket the rooster eats them all up. and while he says that those devilish black eyes look right at you. You know Norman likes to tease. If he can tease you it is

his delight. Minnie Theurer took him down to where she works last saturday and when he came back I asked him what the girls said about him and he says Normans got pretty hair. And the joke of it is he hasnt got any. Some thing like his Uncle george. Most every one that sees him says he is the picture of his Uncle george. Do you feel proud? or should he feel proud. In your letter you write about the duke, meaning Norman, and papa reads the letter and says what duck does george mean. Well we liked to laugh ourself sick. Well george this is all for this evening hope this letter finds you well and happy and lots of good things to eat. Lots of love and Kisses. Elsie
