St. Louis [Missouri] [March] 10th, 1919. Dear Brother: - Received your letter of the 21st of [February] today. We are glad you are receiving some of our mail. glad you are well as we all are at present. You write about receiving marie letter telling about papa. He had his glasses changed and now his eyes are the same as before. You know every once in a while he says I wish George would come home, I guess he says that because he has got lots of jobs on hand. But george is nice, he helps around just like he did before you left. For the last four Sundays

they have been coming out on Saturday evening and staying until Monday morning. Its quite an excitement while they are here but it makes the Sundays more pleasent. Last Saturday when Norman came he says, I dont want to go by grandma house I want to go home. and Mamma says I

time. Her brother is back from the army. He looks fine. We enjoyed the trip. That was the first time Katie was out of St. Louis. She is some traveller isnt she. We read in the paper the other day about eighteen war brides coming over, and we started to tease Mamma about you bringing one with you and I wish you would of heard her. She says I know george to well he wouldnt do any thing like that. She gets so excited. We have to tell her something like that all the time to keep her in good spirits. Well george I cant write any more, I think I done enough damages as it is. I will leave the rest of the news for Katie. Hope this finds you well, happy and lots to eat I remain your loving sister Elsie In my next letter I have a bone to pick
