[D and D VULCANIZING COMPANY letterhead] [June 15, 1919] Dear [George]: This is Sunday and I am working. Almost to hot to work Business is good, had a fine day yesterday. Received your letter yesterday. You sure are having a fine time. I was looking for you back long before this. Boy wont it feel fine to get back to old St. Louis. Wont seem like home to you tho with all the bars gone. I havent heard from Reel or Hart for three months. Arthur Reel is back from France. Got married just as soon as he landed. When do you think you will get the chance to come home, and say dont forget Indianapolis on your way in to St. Louis. As soon as I get a little [ms illegible: 1 wd] I am going to run down for a few days. Would like to make it before they close the town up but guess I cant. Boy she will

Say [George], Mother is leaving next week for St. Louis to be gone six weeks going to leave me in charge of the Apt. & pathfinder guess I wont Knock-em-dead. Rooms for rent.
