Collinsville, [Illinois] [March 10, 1919] Friend [George], Have been trying to write you for several days but seems like it is a hard job being I dont write so many letters at present, my brother is home and looking fine but expects to go to Denver soon, you can imagine how I feel about it, think his old maid sister will follow. dont you think that would be a real good place for an old maid like me?

Your big sisters were here yesterday also Emma and her cousin, sorry you were so far away, perhaps you could have come with them to see the beautiful city of Collinsville. Although they didnt see very much of it you know it is impossible to see it in one day it would take at least a week. ha ha! appreciate it very much, and very anxious to see you or hear of you coming home soon, although I know you dont care about coming very soon do you? All you need is patience, suppose you have barrels of same stored in that warehouse havent you? No doubt you are getting tired trying to read all this scribbling or perhaps some of your pals are helping you if anyone can read it they can do more than my self and are entitled to a metal.
