[Y.M.C.A. letterhead] 6 00 P.M. [November] 1st 1918 MyDarling Wife : - Just a few lines to you tonight. More next time. No letter from you today. Phone Judge Gray or Charlie Davisson and ask them if there is any way Ican vote for them next Tuesday? Do not want to ask for leave not and it would Cost too much to make the trip on a one day pass and besides it would be a very hard trip to make this way. Besides I presume Iam to take the gas course next week. The war news looks now like Imight not have to, But we Can not be too sure yet. Have had a busy day, but am feeling good. We are still grinding out Overseas soldiers just the same as if there were no peace rumors. Wish you would send Me one of your or the Circulars. if you
