[Y.M.C.A. letterhead] 8 30 A.M. [November] 20 – 1918 Wednesday MyDarling Wife : - Your two letters Came yesterday afternoon. One of them with Marians was Mighty glad to get them. Do not see why you should have failed to get a letter from me Saturday at least, as Iwrite every day. Enjoyed Marain L’s letter very Much, think she does well. No such good luck Now as My getting to go with any more troops as they have stopped all such movements. Am sorry that your girl is not proving satsifactory. Guess that you will have to get Sadie back. Here hoping that your recital will be a huge success in every way. If it were summer time Ithink that you might drive down

The actors were very good but Idid not Care for the play. we did not stay for last act as we wanted to get 10 30 train back to Camp. Left Camp on the 5 35 train, and went to picture show first at Majestic, “Missing” was a very good war picture, also a funny. Did I tell you that we had our pictures took again? other Officers had on Caps. You Certainly have some job with your Xmas boxes. Wish you would not always try to do more than your physical will stand well. Am enclosing a Clipping from the [Des Moines] paper. Want to go over to [Fort Des Moines] and see some of the Men brought back from overseas before I leave here. Want tosee some of the wounds and talk to them or look at the history sheets. Sent My suit to be Cleaned, but they did not get all of the spots out. It looks better though. This is another gloomy morning was snowing a little as we Came in. Wish Icould hear you sing Friday night. Success and Just lots of love. Devotedly Everett.
