[Y.M.C.A. letterhead] 3 30 P.M. [October] 31st 1918 Charlottesville Va. [October] 31 – 1903 Colonial Hotel. My Dearest Girl : - Another lull in our days work and Iam found writing to you. Your letter written Sunday was in My box when I went up at Noon. Was Mighty glad to get it. Iam not in the 19th Division as Ithought Ihad written you. Maj. DeW. did not even suggest it to Me, so do not think that he had any idea of presenting My name. Snow has all gone but is Cloudy and windy, Also Chilly. Guess the Walton F. Co. did not have any paper on hand, such as Iasked for, in that amount is the reason we have had no word from them. The Joe Boyd incident amused me. That is politics you will find Col. W.R.C. has no good word for Wilson, Like [written upside down in top margin] Much love and Big Hug Devotedly Everett.

After what they have done, Iwant them to get all that is Coming to them. Am Enclosing another Clipping. Will Change My pillow Case at once. You ask about the Moleskin Overcoat? This is Called a trench Coat and is for Overseas wear. It is a very practical Coat and a good Coat. Cost $34.50. They sold a lot of them. Now want to sell regulation Overcoats.
