Description	This photograph, taken from the top of a hill, depicts soldiers standing in formation on either side of a road while men on horses pass by. The photograph is part of a collection compiled by Jefferson City, Missouri native Clifford Porth during his service in the Mexican Border War and World War I. During the war Porth served in the Missouri National Guard in Company L, 2nd Missouri Infantry Regiment. Porth later served in the 815th Pioneer Infantry during World War I.
