[February] 5, 1918 [censor’s stamp] Dearest Mother, Today I received your letters of [December] 24, 28, and 30th; Dauran’s letter of Dec. 17; Nenaine’s of [January] 1; Miss Markham’s of [December] 24 and Jane Matthews’ of [December] 17th. Quite a lot. Tell Miss Markham I have received several letters from her, have replied to most of them and will reply to this last. I was very interested in that clipping from the [St. Louis Post Dispatch] (the article about S.S.U. 5 written by Robert Drake. He is no longer in the section but his brother is the lieutenant commanding the section. The old section 5 men think that article a very good one and have asked me to write for copies. I wish you would send my about 15 copies at least. Don’t enclose all in the same letter or they may be lost. I have given my clipping to Bill Atwood as about half the article is a record of his doing. In the Sunday picture section of the New York Tribune of Sunday [December] 30
