[January] 15th 1922. Dear Comrades Kate and Frank: What a perfectly beautiful report you have of the home-coming in the Rip Saw just at hand, and how can we ever thank you for such a fine and generous and deeply touching appreciation. It is indeed a masterly and eloquent piece of writing. Its thoroughness and completeness is astonishing. Not a detail was overlooked. I am wondering how it was possible for you to make such munite observations. But your hearts were in it and you felt it all, every throb of it, if you did not actually see every incident so vividly

accounted for. It was indeed so very wonderful and we are still under the spell of it. And all the comrades and friends were so tenderly considerate and kind in every way. We are glad indeed you were here else this beautiful account had not been possible. We had it read aloud as on little family gathering last evening and tears glistened in the eyes of all. Gene has been trying to write you about the Testimonial Number. The mail still comes flooding in and we are vainly trying to keep up with it. We shall some time try to tell you how very deeply touched we are and how grateful for all your loving kindness. We all join in greetings of affection and every good wish for you and the junior gods of your blessed household. Faithfully yours, Katherine M. Debs.
