Description <p>Military personnel record files for Roland Ray Jamison containing his service record, medical records, and reports of death. Jamison enlisted in the Navy on December 20, 1915 and was killed in action on October 7, 1918 while serving in France with the 5th Marine Regiment. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his gallantry in action near St. Etienne after repeatedly exposing himself to machine gun and shell fire to assist the wounded.</p>
