Ruth Weeks was appointed with the Quartermaster Corps as Filing Clerk for temporary duty with the Director of Military Intelligence Division in Washington D.C. and then later for duty in Berne, Switzerland at the Military Attache, American Legation on November 5, 1918. She was born in 1895 in Cimarron, Kansas and was a resident of Independence, Missouri when first appointed to civilian military service on November 5, 1918.&#160;</p>
