Description <p>Civilian record file for Engelhard Endres containing his records of his work history. Engelhard Endres was born in Germany around July 15, 1850 and died in 1929. He was a civilian employee who was employed as a messenger with the Office of the Quartermaster and the Office of Finance. He served in the 23rd Infantry during the Spanish American War where he was wounded at Manila, Philippines. He served as a federal prison guard at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas for a year. He also worked in Panama as an assistant storekeeper.</p>
