Description | Burial records for Hearl Smith containing information pertaining to his burial and disinterment. This file also includes correspondence between Hearl Smith's father, William Monroe Smith, and the Graves Registration Service concerning the transport of Hearl's remains. Sergeant Hearl Smith served with Company F, 140th Infantry, 35th Division. He was killed in action on September 28, 1918. His remains were sent to his family in Willow Springs, Missouri. |
