Headquarters, 164th F.A. Brigade American Expeditionary Forces 26th October, 1918. Operations Orders: Number 17. 1. Pursuant to Field Orders #47, Headquarters, 4th Army Corps, American Expeditionary Forces, France, 24th October, 1918, the following scheme of relief to conform to the changes in Corps and Division boundaries will be pursued. (a) Battery B of the 340th Field Artillery will evacuate its present battery position on the night of October 27-28, to go into position at emplacements to be designated by the Regimental Commander. (b) By arrangement with the Commanding General, 5th Field Artillery Brigade, 1 75 M/M battery of that brigade will move into the position evacuated by battery B, 340th Field Artillery on the night of October 27-28. (c) The 340th Field Artillery will remain responsible for the present barrage line until 24:00 hours, night of October 28-29. 2. Pursuant to Field Orders #8, Headquarters, 2d Army, American Expeditionary Forces, France, 24th October, 1918, one regiment of the 62nd Field Artillery Brigade is placed in support of that part of the sector between the present Western boundry of the Division and the boundry prescribed by Field Orders #47, Headquarters, 4th Army Corps, American Expeditionary Forces, France, 24th October, 1918, and will take over the barrage line for that part of the sector upon relief of the French units. Changes in the barrage line, consistent with the shift in the Division sector will be covered by a subsequent order. 3. P.C. of this brigade will be at Woinville. Wheeler. hcb.
