Headquarters, 164th F.A. Brigade American Expeditionary Forces 31st October, 1918. Map Chambley 5-6, 1.20,000. Operations Order: Number 22. There will be a gas bombardment by the Corps and Divisional Artillery of the Fourth Corps at 3:00 hours A.M., 1 November, 1918, watches will be synchronized by telephone from these Headquarters. The purpose is to kill enemy personnel in dugouts and P.C.s. 1. From H to H plus 10 minutes, 2 batteries of the 340th Field Artillery will fire #20 gas shell upon the enemy pill box at 370.1-245.9, at the rate of 6 rounds per piece per minute. 2. From H to H plus 10 minutes, 1 battery of 155
