February 3, 1919. I met Barney Frauenthal and Ed. Smith at the City Club to-day. Ed. Smith reported that he had been unable to see Mr. Carter, on account of his being out of the City. He will call on Mr. Carter with reference to financial arrangements to-night or to-morrow. I saw Mr. Corlette with reference to probably assistance from the Reatilers
