[page 2] Sgt. Sanders, Corp. Dowel and Pvt. Kagy were left at Fins with Sgt. Rothmeyer and assisted him efficiently in the evacuation of Fins, saving all power and equipment and remained at their post until relieved by orders from the 5th Army. Their work was above criticism. Master Engineer Sexton, (Now Second Lieut.) was Chief Dispatcher at Quinconce during entire evacuation and deserves commendation for his coolness, careful plans, and perfect orders which were largely responsible for the evacuation of Fins and Quinconce and the interrupted traffic which was carried on without a delay except those resulting from destroyed track. Sgt. Slade, night chief dispatcher at Quinconce assisted Master Engineer Sexton and is also due much praise for his efficiency and coolness. Sgt. A.L. Nuzum, Day Yard Master at Quinconce remained on duty all night and assisted Sgt. Nance materially in the movement of traffic. His efforts were especially valuable. It is desired to call attention to the courage and discipline of the Station Agents all of whom remained at their posts until relieved by order. Special mention should be made of Pvt. Lydon, AX 14, Corp. Rodgers and Bugler Rodgers AX 15, and Pvts. McMillian and Kutz AX 7.
