Dear Mr. Whelpley: I guess you will be surprised to know that I am still in France, with very little prospects of sailing for the good old U.S.A., in the near future, but that is just the way things look to me at present, and I am in someways disappointed for I had hopes of getting home not later then August 1st. Our orders came in last week for all Medical Officers and Enlisted Men on duty at this Infirmary to report at once to the Embarkation Camp for return to the states, then came the
