G-3/10. Headquarters 28th Division American Expeditionary Force France. 26 October, 1918. Daily Operations Report. From noon 25 [October], to noon 26 [October, 1918] I. Hostile Situation at beginning of Day. Unchanged. II. Information received of the Enemy during Day. The location of battery positions, machine guns, dugouts, trenches and wire verified by patrols (See Intelligence Summary). III. Hostile Movements and Conduct during day. (a) Infantry: Usual bursts of machine gun fire from enemy front line positions. (b) Artillery: Usual harrassing fire on forward areas. (c) Aeronautics: Only one enemy plane observed over sector; this plane dropped propaganda along our entire front. (d) Movements: Increase in movements in and around Dommartin, otherwise normal. IV. Maps Illustrating Above. None V. Own Situation at Beginning of day. Unchanged. VI. Own Changes, Movements and Actions during day. (a) Infantry: Active patrolling in front of entire Divisional sector, especially in front of the Bois Bonsell and Charey. Information obtained as to location of enemy batteries, machine guns, dugouts, trenches and wire-no prisoners captured, no casualties. (b) Artillery: Artillery fire below normal due to presence of our patrols in front of enemy
