Somewhere July 14, 1918 Dearest "Babe" Hello sweetheart how are you today? Am fine and dandy only somewhat lonesome for you. But guess I will be that way for some time. Haven't a thing to do to pass away the time, and read a book for none seems to interest me any. But you know how I always was a times. Guess I will be better satified later. Hope so any way.

Are you any better satified than you were when I last heard from you? what are you doing these long lonesome sundays? Guess I will surprise you when I tell you I was to church today and am going again tonight. But I'm not going to worry much because I think you will be cared for during your time of trouble, and as soon

I guess I got all your mail before I left Camp Merritt that is if you didn't mail any after you got my telegram
