Dear Girl Just a short note to let you know my great luck in getting quarter for you and C.L. All of us had been told that there was not a room to be had in Lawton and Capt Hedrick and I went into town yesterday afternoon and we got the same answer there, we went to the real estate offices and could find nothing, but at one we found a house for sale and he sent us to see the owner, to see if he would not rent it for a few months. The owner said he would but it was in such bad condition that we were discouraged. Finally we found that the owner Mr Buell had a house full of company at his home, who were to leave soon, and we talked his wife into renting us the upper floor with what furnature was nessessary except cooking vessels & stove. Those we will have to bring

[page 2] or buy, that can be worked out any time, Inclosed find a rough sketch. Our thought is that you and C.L. will have one bed room. Mrs Hedrick & daughter another Then use the large room for a combined kitchen & D room it being the only one with a chimney, or use the room with a cross in it for this purpose and use an oil stove There is a bath room on the same floor. We were just tickled to death as all officers are breaking their necks to get quarters for their families The rent is only $30.00 per month, which will make $15.00 a piece. Our further thought is that you & Mrs H combined on your sating arrangements and just make a little family out of it.
