COPY France ,March 16, 1919. A. P. O. 714. Army Educational Commission Attention Lt. H. Pearce. Dear Sir: - I have your letter of [March] 7th, stating that my orders for attendance at Bellevue had been requested [January] 23rd, and should have reached me by now. At G.H.Q. the office which has handled all such orders for Bellevue from your office, informs me that such a request of [January] 23rd has never reached them, and that they have no record of my case, altho they have received requests and made out orders for Corpls. Raymond Herbert and George Maguolo who applied as I did and who have since gone to Bellevue. It is evident that your request of [January] 23rd has been lost in transit between your office and the proper place in the A.G.O. Can you therefore, send a duplicate of that request to the man responsible for getting out the orders? I hope that this delay is not sufficient to prevent me from being admitted to the school. If it be necessary to fill out a new application blank, can you put the following information on it and save the time necessary for it to come to me and be returned to you? Bachelor of Archetecture,Washington University 1916. Master of [Architecture, Washington University] 1917. American Institute of Architects, Medal 1916. Teaching Fellow, Washington University 1916-17. Including classes in Shades and Shadows, Orders, Freshman Drawing, Rendering and Research. Twenty four years age.
